HOW would you like to save big dollars
– perhaps even 20 per cent –
off the cost of your timber flooring?
AND, how would you like it if you
could get the floor laid quickly –
perhaps within a week or two –
and with a minimum of fuss dealing
with tradespeople? Sound too good
to be true?
No, it’s spot-on.
Floors By Nature is a South Fremantle
business that’s been in the
same family for three generations.
You’ll find the showroom at 14
Cockburn Road, Hamilton Hill and the
warehouse at 42 Daly Street, South
Fremantle where we have a massive range
of timber to choose from.
“People can save 20 per
cent off their average flooring costs,
I’d estimate,” says
manager Jason Tasovac. “And
I can honestly say I’ve never
come across someone that we’re
more expensive than. My grandfather
Frank started the business here in
1965 when it was a run-down area next
to a tip. My dad took over
and now I’m here ... with plenty
of help from dad. The neighbourhood’s
a bit flashier than it used to be
but we’re staying put ... I
can’t see us ever moving.”
At the Floors by Nature showroom, you
are able to see how your floor will end
up looking and the range is enormous:
“We have jarrah, marri, karri,
sheoak, blackbutt, Tasmanian oak,
western red cedar, brushbox, and more
... and we keep so much in stock that
we can get to work straight away.”
Jason says Floors By Nature has
all the good tradies and, if you like,
will do all the hard work in getting
your floor installed. “
A lot of our business is repeat
and even second and third-generation
... customers keep coming back because
they know they can trust us to give
them a great price, quality timber,
and a quality finish.”
Jason says Floors By Nature can do
everything the big-name flooring retailers
can do, including floating floors
... and a lot more besides.
“We’re a timber specialist,”
he said. “Fremantle has
thousands of timber homes and we have
a great range of quality external
claddings that are invaluable for
renovations and repairs.
“We also specialise in timber
linings for under eaves ... for a
few hundred dollars you can transform
an al fresco area by making it look
like the ceiling is timber-planked.
For newer homes, plywood lining is
really in vogue and, yes, we do that
too.”
Jason says he and his dad, Dennis
and their small but experienced staff
“live for timber”: “We
love it, the smell of timber, the
feel of it. Timber is warm and beautiful
and we want to help ensure it continues
to have a place in people’s
lives.”
